Responsibilities and Activities of the Quality and Academic Accreditation Unit

Promoting a culture of quality within the college.

Supervising the college’s strategic plan and monitoring its implementation.

Proposing developmental plans for the college.

Implementing and following up on academic evaluation and accreditation activities within the college.

Suggesting learning outcomes or objectives for the college’s various programs (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate), as well as proposing methods and tools to achieve these objectives and different evaluation approaches to measure the achievement of these outcomes.

Supervising the preparation and organization of course files, ensuring that each file includes:

The CV of the faculty member.

Copies of certificates of appreciation and teaching excellence awards.

Course content descriptions in English, in accordance with the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment.

Samples of previous course examination questions.

Samples of student answer sheets from different performance levels.
-

Identifying potential areas for improvement and proposing necessary projects to achieve these improvements at the college level.

Preparing and organizing college brochures, guides, informational pamphlets about the college, job opportunities, and study plans.

Receiving external academic accreditation teams and internal university quality committees who visit the college periodically.

Encouraging faculty members to initiate project proposals and supporting them in implementing these initiatives.

Supervising the self-evaluation process for the college’s various academic programs and preparing self-study reports.

Collaborating with the college’s Skills Development Unit to promote a culture of quality and academic accreditation by organizing awareness lectures, workshops, and attending these events.

Documenting efforts and outcomes of academic accreditation procedures and submitting reports to the Dean of the College.

Continuously collecting data and information about accreditation requirements and quality activities and applying them within the college.

Preparing periodic reports on performance levels within the college and beneficiary satisfaction across all activities.

Holding regular meetings to discuss the implementation of academic program accreditation requirements.
-
Preparing academic program specification files.
-
Performing other tasks assigned by the committee related to academic accreditation, quality activities, and their application.
